Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
Depart from Marrakech in the morning and drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a stunning fortified village. Continue to Ouarzazate and explore the famous Kasbah Taourirt. Drive through the Valley of Roses and reach the Dades Gorges, known for its impressive rock formations. Spend the night in a hotel or guesthouse in the Dades Gorges.
Day 2: Todra – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert Camel Ride
After breakfast, continue your journey to the Todra Gorges. Take a walk through the narrow canyon and admire the magnificent rock formations. Continue driving through the desert landscapes and reach Erfoud. From Erfoud, reach Merzouga, a village located on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Experience a sunset camel ride through the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at the desert camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night in a traditional Berber tent.
Day 3: Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes
After breakfast, depart from Merzouga and drive through the beautiful Ziz Valley. Enjoy the scenic landscapes and palm groves along the way. Pass through the town of Midelt, known for its apple orchards and mountain scenery. Continue the journey to Azrou, a charming town nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit the famous cedar forest and encounter friendly Barbary macaque monkeys. Proceed to Ifrane, also known as “Little Switzerland,” and admire its European-inspired architecture. Finally, drive to Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, and arrive in the evening.
